What is a spacer fabric?
The fabrics generally consist of three elements: two mesh or open jersey fabrics on the top and bottom, held apart by fine polyester fibers at a distance of a few millimeters. These polyester filaments create the cushioning effect – the fabric can be easily compressed and then springs back to its original shape. Usually, the fabrics are made from synthetic fibers such as polyester.
The larger the distance between the two mesh layers, the better the padding effect. You will find the corresponding values in millimeters in the product description.
In addition to its cushioning effect, spacer fabric also impresses with very good air circulation, which creates a pleasant climate and supports moisture management.
