Production of fleece

Fleece fabrics are usually made from recycled polyester or cotton. The yarns are knitted, with the threads forming so-called plush handles. These are cut open and roughened, creating the popular fluffy surface. This also gives the knitted fabric even more surface area, which further increases the thermal insulation.

Important properties

The fleece fabric is characterised above all by its soft surface as well as its warming and dense structure. Due to its knitted construction and roughened surface, it is generally stretchy or elastic and also crease-resistant.

Many of our fleece fabrics have an anti-pilling finish to prevent typical pilling.
The properties of breathability and moisture transport are also important factors that make the fabric so comfortable to wear.
The only drawback of this fabric favourite could be the possible static charging of fleece clothing. Anyone who has a major problem with this would be well advised to choose a fleece fabric made from a natural material such as cotton, which we also offer in our range.

Care instructions

Uncomplicated and easy to care for! What many of us wish for in our daily house cleaning, the fleece fabric serves us on a silver platter.
It can be washed normally at 30° degrees. It is better to avoid the tumble dryer, but a fleece fabric also dries very quickly in the air.
You can iron the fabric on a low heat (iron 1 point), but this is not necessary as it is crease-resistant.
