Insect Protection and Fly Screens by the Meter

Do you have problems with flies, mosquitoes, or other insects in your home? From spring to autumn, these little insects love to sneak through open windows and doors, often disturbing your peace and failing to find their way back outside. To protect both your nerves and the insects, it's helpful to stretch an insect screen across openings to keep them in their natural environment. This is not limited to your home; we have also seen many great insect protection projects for campers, tents, and caravans.

With our net fabrics, you have the opportunity to customize and design your insect protection according to your needs. A sustainable protection that can last for many years and does not require the use of chemicals.

We offer various net fabrics for insect protection. If the right fabric is still missing or you are unsure about the fabric selection, you can use our fabric consulting service. We are here to help!

Important Properties of Insect Protection Fabrics

Our insect protection fabrics are different types of net fabrics. We offer airy, lightweight net fabrics that are best suited for protective nets like canopies or bed canopies. On the other hand, we also have a more stable variant, which is traditionally stretched in front of window frames. This is a fine, tightly meshed grid fabric. It is also often used for door curtains and lamella curtains because it hangs well due to its stability. The fine grid structure still allows you to enjoy the beautiful view of the garden. You can find more detailed information about the specific uses in the product description or directly through our fabric consulting service.

It is important that the fabrics are tightly woven so that most insects cannot accidentally fly through. We do not recommend using a normal woven fabric without holes, as this would cause heat to build up, allow little or no natural light into the room, and obstruct the view outside. The net structure allows air to circulate freely, and depending on the type of net, visibility is not overly restricted.

These net fabrics are generally made from synthetic materials such as polyester or polyvinyl chloride. The nets or grids can be attached to the window either with hook-and-loop tape or with an additional net frame made of wood or plastic, for example. For doors, a second door frame with the corresponding net fabric is often used, or if this is not possible, a lamella curtain that is additionally weighted at the bottom edge of the fabric.
